Dedicated, sincere, compassionate, reasonable, trustworthy, smart, and level-headed.
Born September 11, 1958 to Norman Lopez of San Juan Capistrano and Ofelia Saucedo of Capistrano Beach. My Acjachemen blood is from the Ricardes/Dios line of descendants from Lorraine Olivares Lopez Erro. Married to Angela Lopez for 22 years. Two boys Bronson and Gabriel Lopez. After High School I worked as an Audio Visual Technician at Santa Ana College. I was then employed for 15 years at Capistrano Unified School District as a Audio Visual Technician. In 2000, I left CUSD and hired on with the Anaheim Elementary School District. I have been there for 16 years as an Computer Services Technician. In December of 2015 I was hired to be the Technology Services Supervisor at AESD and am looking forward to retiring with over 34 years supporting Educational Technology in Orange County schools.
In 2009 I was asked to help with the servicing and repair of computer equipment and other IT services at the JBMI Tribal Hall As a volunteer I continued through the term of the Tribal Council ending in 2012. I was asked to continue to serve the Tribal Membership and new Tribal leadership of Chairwoman Teresa Romero in 2013. Assisted the Council in migrating into a new email format (GMail and Google Apps Suite) Assisted with the design and implementation of a new website. Updated the site and created content when requested.
Having spent 7 years serving you the General Council and Tribal Council, I feel a strong obligation to continue to serve the needs of the people who are at times forgotten to be the foundation of the Acjachemen Nation. It is in our unity and support of one another that we are the strongest. The Elders and those who have gone ahead are in the greatest need of our unity. They have been waiting a long time for this Nation to gain the respect of local Native community and our neighbors here in Orange County. Let us start first with respect for one another, our own families, our own people. Setting aside divisions and barriers that have historically held us all back. Let’s rise together and make this Nation “One Family of Proud Acjachemen”
